SH-1 Atamuri Bridge Replacement Geotech Investigation

Location : SH-1 Atamuri Bridge

A particularly interesting drilling project with each bore hole presenting its own health and safety concerns, these included:

Flood river levels (as the rig and equipment were below this level, constant communication was required with the river control authority, escape and rescue plans developed).
Access through and working in a "working forest".
Steep site set-ups with tall vegetation requiring helicopter support to mobilise the drilling rig and equipment to site.
Working adjacent to State Highway 1 (high traffic flows at open road speeds).
