Rig #1

NEW: D.S.M. Mayhew SD/HD54M heavy duty drilling rig (manufactured in Austin Texas, USA)

Key attributes

  • 18.3m long Tubular tapered lattice design, Range III Mast (Capable of handling and running Range III casing) with a conservatively rated 75,000lb dynamic hook load rating (set up for 3-1/2” upset tool jointed or 4-1/2” flush tool jointed 17lb/ft drill pipe)
  • Stacked Drum Draw works with 23,000lb single line bare drum pull (Kelly block and Auxiliary block capable of running 6 working lines). Load cells and Weight indicator on both lines (calibrated and certified)

2009 DF CAT COMPONENT DRILL RIG

The new excavator/ barge / Heli drill rig is designed for those tight sites with a low tare weight and can be configured from 1550mm down to 750mm wide. This rig can be  fitted with rubber tracks to minimize pavement damage. The mast height can be broken down so the height of the mast is only 3m. The rig is fitted with a main haul winch and a wireline winch which makes it an ideal little Geotech rig. This rig also has a separate power pack and is ideal for barge and helicopter drilling for Geotechnical investigations.
